ABOUT
We are a small, rural, co-educational Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Waterford and Lismore, located in the parish of Kilrossanty and Fews at the foothills of the Comeragh mountains in Co. Waterford. We currently have 134 pupils on roll. Our school crest is that of a St.Bridget’s Cross as St.Bridget is the Patron saint of our parish.
We are inclusive.
We recognise that everyone is different and strive to meet the needs of all of our pupils so they can reach their full potential.
Staff, parents, BOM and the wider school community work together for the good of all.
We foster a sense of belonging and connectedness with the school and our local community. We recognise that what we do locally can have an impact globally.
We are concerned with the development of the whole child so that they will have the confidence and resilience to become active, caring, responsible citizens in society.

Get To Know The School
Our original school was built in 1965. We added an extension of 2 classrooms, learning support room, office, staff room and car park in 2010 and more recently in June 2017 we completed another extension of an additional classroom ( having gained our 5th mainstream teacher ) a resource room, meeting room and storage room.

All our classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards and children also have access to ipads for research and project work. We have spacious grounds to allow our children to play safely, having two sports pitches and a large zoned tarmacadam playground, with basket ball court, as well as a school garden. The school is fortunate to have a very supportive Board of Management and Parents Association who work with the school to ensure its smooth running and have run very successful fundraisers over the years so that we can enjoy the facilities we have today.
