Our ASW 2022 will take place from 7th-10th of June. Here is a timetable of events!

Day 1: We kicked off ASW with taster sessions for 1st-6th class in tennis and rugby with thanks to Dungarvan tennis club and Dungarvan rugby club. Our Junior & Senior Infants also headed off on their teddy bears picnic and our 4th/5th class went on a history walk to a local ringfort.

Day 2: JI/SI headed off bright and early on their school tour to Ardmore Open Farm. 1st and 2nd class walked up to the local Holy Wells for their teddy bears picnic and lots of parachute games! 4th/5th class had their rugby taster session, 3rd/4th took part in basketball mini games and 6th class took part in mini hockey games!

Day 3: The bad weather hampered some of our plans for the start of day 3 and meant our 6th class famine walk had to be rescheduled to next week. However once the afternoon brightened up we made great use of the rest of the day! 1st/2nd had their turn at their rugby taster session, 3rd & 4th learned the rules of hockey and played mini hockey games and 4th/5th class played mini basketball games! Another great day once the rain cleared away and sun came out!!
Day 4: On our final day of ASW we held a whole school fun sports day! Events included; egg and spoon races, 3-legged races, blind mans walk, sack races, tyre roll races, wheelbarrow races, tug of war, penalty shoot outs, musical mats and more! Every class took part with their own class group. It was a day full of fun and laughter!!
