GREEN FLAG

Senior classes are taking part in the Heritage Keepers Programme this year which looks at what connects us to our local place and what we can do to preserve and enhance it. Over a series of 5 workshops we are discovering more about our locl built, cultural and natural heritage. The children explored online ordinance survey and historical maps on our IPads to see what life was like in our locality in the past and how it has changed over time. It was fascinating. Exciting news!! We have been informed that we have been awarded our 8th Green Flag on the theme of Global Citizenship, Marine Environment. This is down to the hard work of the Committee, staff and all pupils who took on this theme during the pandemic and made it happen. We will take part in a virtual awards ceremony in September when we will receive our new flag. Well done to all!
